JESSWAR TOUR - Grrrls to the North
I was really honoured to be part of this amazing tour presented by QMusic and supported by the Queensland Government via the Advancing Women in Business initiative.
Grrrls to the North was a live music regional tour visiting 4 location in Far North Queensland across 4 days in June 2021. Bringing prominent Brisbane rap/hip-hop artist Jesswar alongside a lineup of local artists from each region, the tour highlighted the impact that women and female-identifying artists and industry professionals have on the Queensland music industry. The project was implemented and managed by Cairns based artist, Melania Jack. The tour was produced by a team of 9 emerging music industry mentees working alongside their mentors to create a sensational tour for the local communities in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
I was the photographer for the media team, taking photos of each show, the behind the scenes and on the road images.
What a great fun experience that was! Road tripping with a full female team, going through the highs and lows of touring together. It was rad!
